What ZephyrOne does for your club

Pick the pieces you need today and switch on more as your club grows. Everything shares the same member records, so nothing gets typed in twice.

Members & families

Every member, junior and family in one tidy list. Families share one membership, with a lead member who can add the kids.

  • Full, Family, Cadet, Crew or Social — you set the types and prices
  • Members keep their own details up to date
  • Photo consent and contact preferences recorded

Online joining & renewals

Share one link on your website or social media. New sailors choose a membership, add family members and pay — no login needed to join.

  • Existing members upgrade or add memberships themselves
  • Free memberships are approved instantly

Events & race days

Open meetings, regattas, socials and laying-up suppers — with tickets, meal choices, junior places and online payment.

  • Member-only, public, or both
  • A public calendar you can put on your club website
  • Copy last year’s event in one click

Duty rotas

List the duties each event needs — race officer, safety boat helm, galley — and how many people. Members sign themselves up.

  • Gaps are easy to spot
  • Duties appear on members’ dashboards
  • Volunteers can get first dibs on event places

Training & qualifications

Run adult and junior courses with sessions, prices, waiting lists and wetsuit hire. Instructors take the register on the day.

  • Non-members can book and pay through a public link
  • Record qualifications with “valid until” dates
  • Attendance reports by course or sailor

Club boats & equipment

Keep a list of club dinghies, safety boats, wetsuits and spaces — with maintenance logs and hire booked by your team.

  • No double-bookings
  • Charge by the hour, day, month or season
  • Anyone can report a fault by scanning a QR code on the boat

Payments made easy

Take card payments, Direct Debit or PayPal straight into your club’s own accounts — each section can use its own.

  • Choose who pays the processing fees
  • Finance reports by membership, events, training, hire and shop
  • Follows your club’s financial year

Keeping everyone informed

Email a whole section, a fleet or a squad, and post noticeboard messages members see when they sign in.

  • Organise people into sections and teams — Dinghy, Cruising, Juniors, Race Team
  • Messages also arrive in the member app

Safeguarding & safety

Give your welfare officer a proper home for concerns, incidents and notes about junior sailors — private, recorded and limited to the right people.

  • Every message sent to groups with under-18s is logged for review
  • Risk assessments, policies and review dates tracked
  • Insurance and governing-body requirements in one checklist

Club shop

Sell club burgees, branded kit or event extras through a simple online shop. Buyers pay without needing an account.

Member app for iPhone

Members carry a digital membership card, see the club calendar, check their duties and read messages — secured with Face ID.

Easy to move across

Bring your existing members over from a spreadsheet, or connect to WebCollect and keep the two in step while you switch.

A closer look

How it feels on a club weekend

Saturday’s duties, sorted by Wednesday

Your duty organiser lists what each race day needs. Members open the event, pick a duty that suits them, and it lands on their dashboard. No more last-minute phone round.

  • See at a glance which duties still need volunteers
  • Members can sign up for a duty and an event at the same time
  • Volunteers can be rewarded with early event entry

Courses that run themselves

Publish your summer course timetable once. Parents book their children online, pay, and add wetsuit hire. On the day, instructors tick the register on a phone or tablet.

  • Waiting lists fill spaces automatically
  • Award qualifications when courses are completed
  • Share a public booking link with non-members

Know where every club boat is

Each dinghy and safety boat has its own record, hire calendar and maintenance history. Your bosun can see what’s due for repair, and anyone at the club can report a fault by scanning a code on the boat.

  • Bookings never overlap
  • Hirers get a payment link by email
  • Members see their family’s hires in one place

Important actions are logged, so you can always see who did what, and when.

Built with safeguarding in mind

Confidential records, logged messages to juniors and access limited to named people.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do our volunteers need to be technical?
Not at all. If you can use email and online shopping, you can use ZephyrOne. There are guided tours on each page and a full help guide built in.
Do members have to remember a password?
No. Members type their email address and receive a secure sign-in link. Members with the iPhone app can sign in by scanning a code.
Can we keep using our existing membership list?
Yes. Upload a spreadsheet, or connect WebCollect and import your members, before you switch over.
Where does the money go?
Straight into your club’s own Stripe, GoCardless or PayPal account. Different sections, such as training and the dinghy section, can use different accounts.
Can people who aren’t members book courses or events?
Yes. Public events and training courses can be booked and paid for through a link, without joining the club.
Can members book club boats themselves?
Boat and equipment hire is booked by your club team, who can send the hirer a payment link. Members can see all their family’s hires in one place.
Is ZephyrOne only for sailing clubs?
It works for all kinds of clubs, from sports clubs to community groups and associations. This site shows how sailing clubs use it.
